Druva has announced it has been named a Leader in The Forrester New Wave: SaaS Application Data Protection, Q4 2021. Druva believes its inclusion as a Leader in the inaugural report reflects its mature, secure, simplified, and enterprise scale to centrally protect business-critical data as organizations expedite deployments of leading SaaS applications such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Salesforce.

In highlighting the increasing importance for protecting data residing on SaaS applications, the report noted, “SaaS application data protection (SADP) products entered the market as it became clear that SaaS providers’ focus was on platform uptime but not on their clients’ data resilience and durability needs. Solutions for widely adopted platforms like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are flooding the market, but changing backup APIs and fast feature adoption has made protecting these products a moving target. The growing amount of data being hosted in SaaS applications opens an opportunity for data resilience vendors looking to differentiate themselves in the market by easing the process of backing up an enterprise’s entire SaaS hosted data environment.”

The report identified the 10 most significant vendors delivering SaaS application data protection and ranked them against 10 criteria based on current offering and strategy. Druva received a differentiated rating, the highest possible score, in the usability, planned enhancements, and product vision criteria.

Forrester noted that Druva “has experience in serving large enterprises and addresses backup security needs, data residency requirements, custom storage options, and integration concerns” and is “a great option for replacing existing backup tools while adding Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or Salesforce protection.” Additionally, the report stated that the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud has an easy-to-use management console and that “customers reported satisfaction with both the product and the cost. They also appreciate the ability to see the status of SaaS application data protection jobs as part of their overall data resilience health.”

“As organizations accelerate the deployments of SaaS applications, oftentimes the protection of this data is overlooked or taken for granted, but these applications are just as susceptible to data loss, cyber risk, and compliance liabilities,” says Anjan Srinivas, Vice President and General Manager of Products, Druva. “As the only cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS solution operating at scale, the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud leverages the cloud’s simplicity, scalability and agility to deliver data and operational resilience through a single platform. We believe our position as a leader in this report is a testament to the powerful capabilities and industry firsts we’ve introduced, as well as the value we deliver to our customers every day.”

Protecting Growing SaaS Application Footprints

Increasingly, leading organizations are turning to Druva to protect SaaS applications against unexpected data loss, ransomware and to maintain compliance with privacy requirements.

Revolution Company, a global brand focused on promoting a sustainable environment, deployed the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud to accelerate its cloud journey and better protect its VMs and Microsoft 365 from malicious cyber attacks such as ransomware.

“When I saw how easy it was to use Druva with our data center, and how well the support team took care of us, it was a no-brainer to expand Druva to protect our cloud data too,” comments Phillip Collins, senior infrastructure engineer, Revolution Company. “It’s hard to put a price on peace of mind, knowing everything is backed up. Druva saves me so much time and money. I honestly couldn’t be happier with how everything has gone.”

Funnel Metrics, a SaaS technology firm delivering online products and services that measure and monitor sales team performance, selected Druva to accelerate Salesforce projects and drive more efficiency with predictable sandbox seeding.

“We have to make sure what we have is as complete as possible, and Druva’s Sandbox Seeding Solution allows us to manage that process, whether it’s just copying the data over or resolving errors and conflicts between the data, finding relationships in the data that we didn’t understand or know about,” says Terry Walsh, Chief Technology Officer, Funnel Metrics. “Druva’s solution has been a lifesaver for us, and we can confidently say it is one of our true success factors.”
